Ornamented cheese, made from cottage cheese, cream and salt. Usually produced in pairs, as it exemplifies women's breasts. By tradition herdsmen would have bestowed them to their beloved as a proof of love and fidelity.

Use of trnič:
Young trnič cheese can be grated and sprinkled on risotto, porridge, pasta, soups and salads, as an additive in the preparation of meat and fish dishes or independently as a starter or dessert in the form of thin slices with the addition of honey, pepper, olive or pumpkin seed oil. You can also fry the slices of cheese with butter.
Store at room temperature in a dry and shady place.
